​The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States – Media and Communication Sector – participated in the 16th Kuwaiti Week in Egypt, held under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, from 25 to 27 November in Cairo. Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to African Countries concludes training programme on smart agricultural technologies in Baghdad

​​Six months after the Arab Summit in Baghdad last May, the specialised training course entitled “Using Smart Agricultural Technologies in Controlled Environments to Address Climate Change Challenges in Arid Lands” concluded on 27 November in Baghdad, the capital of the Republic of Iraq. The course was organised by the Ministry of Planning in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Iraq, and in partnership with the Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to African Countries and the African Union Bureau for Agriculture, with the participation of agricultural engineers from several African countries.

ICESCO and Arab Academy join Council of Arab Information Ministers as observers

​In accordance with Article 5 of the Statute of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, the Council, during its 55th session held on 26 November at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, approved the granting of observer status to both the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO) and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.

​The 55th session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers concluded on 26 November at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States. The session was held in the presence of His Excellency the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States and was chaired by the Syrian Arab Republic. Ministers and heads of delegations from Arab states, as well as representatives of Arab media organisations and bodies with observer status at the Council, also participated.

League mission observes second phase of Egypt's parliamentary elections 2025

​The head of the League of Arab States' mission observing the 2025 Egyptian parliamentary elections, Ambassador Hussein Al-Hindawi, visited several polling stations and electoral committees in Port Said Governorate on Monday. Other League teams conducted field visits across various regions and governorates, monitoring the electoral process, which began at 9:00 a.m. on 24 November and will continue until the completion of the counting and tabulation process on the evening of 25 November.
