Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, welcomed the agreement announced at dawn Friday (5 July) in Khartoum between the Transitional Military Council and the forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change on the formation of the sovereign council and the government of independent competencies to manage the affairs of the country during the transitional period.
