The Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, will go to Khartoum on Tuesday to meet with a number of Sudanese leaders in the context of the League's support to the Republic of Sudan, especially during the transitional period following the signing of the Transitional Period Documents between the Transitional Military Council and the Forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change last August 17.

An official source at the General Secretariat of the League said that Aboul Gheit's visit comes as a follow-up to the visit he had made to Khartoum last June, and to sending a number of high-level delegations from the General Secretariat to support Sudan in the process of democratic transition and the participation of the League in signing as a witness to the political agreement and the constitutional document.
During his visit, Aboul Gheit will meet with General Abdelfattah Al Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional National Council, Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk, and Foreign Minister Asmaa Mohammed Abdullah. Sudanese and accompany the Sudanese state and political and civil movements in the national path to complete the entitlements and programs of the transitional period.
