    ​Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Media and Communication Sector at the League of Arab States, affirmed on Friday that Iraq has undertaken meticulous preparations to facilitate media coverage of the Baghdad Summit. He commended Iraq's pivotal role in advancing joint Arab action and described the summit as a vital platform for delivering powerful messages affirming the necessity of Arab solidarity and cohesion.

    In remarks to the Iraqi News Agency, Ambassador Khattabi stated, "The convening of the Arab Summit in brotherly Iraq holds profound significance, reflecting Iraq's standing within the Arab world and its foundational role in reinforcing unity and coordination among member states in confronting common challenges with a shared sense of solidarity and responsibility."

    The Ambassador added that there are exceptional circumstances currently confronting the Arab region, and there is a need for a unified stand to forge a unified Arab vision capable of addressing political and developmental challenges. He noted that the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, scheduled to follow the conclusion of the ordinary summit, aims to tackle issues central to human development, and to advance initiatives and frameworks that empower the Arab citizen, elevate the Arab region, and enhance its standing and influence on the global stage.

    Ambassador Khattabi stated that "the high-level arrangements and facilitations made by the Higher Committee under the supervision of the Prime Minister have played a crucial role in enabling journalists to cover the proceedings of both summits under optimal conditions."
