Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, extended his sincere condolences to the Republic of Iraq following the massive fire that broke out in a commercial market in the eastern Iraqi city of Kut, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries.
Gamal Roshdy, the Secretary-General’s official spokesperson, stated that Mr. Aboul Gheit conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims and wished a swift recovery to the injured. He also reaffirmed the League of Arab States' full solidarity with the Republic of Iraq.
