The Economic Affairs Sector participated in the Arab Youth Innovation and Technology Summit 2025, held as part of the Arab Innovation and Investment Forum under the auspices of the League of Arab States, in cooperation with the Jordanian Knights of Change Foundation for Political and Civil Society Development and the Qaderoon Youth Foundation, on 27-28 October in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Maliki, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Economic Affairs Sector, stated that the League of Arab States' participation falls within the framework of supporting and organising this event, reflecting the League's belief in its pioneering role in advancing Arab and regional initiatives that promote research, innovation, and creativity among Arab youth. These initiatives aim to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship and to strengthen the link between Arab youth and production and investment systems across Arab countries through training activities, dialogue sessions, competitions, and institutional partnerships with the Arab private sector and entrepreneurship centers.
The summit serves as a comprehensive regional platform bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, government bodies, and experts from Arab countries, along with relevant international partners, to support innovation and sustainable investment in the Arab world and to advance the transition towards a sustainable, knowledge-based economy.
The summit also represents the outcome of joint Jordanian and Arab efforts through partnerships with Arab and international institutions, most notably the Central European Chamber of Commerce, Connex Global, I Am Influencer, Web Up Roads, and Coders, the summit's official technical partner. It addressed 12 strategic themes, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, the green economy, digital education, digital health, smart agriculture, smart tourism, digital governance, investment, and entrepreneurship.
During the event, the launch of the Arab Innovation and Investment Forum Awards was announced to honour entrepreneurs and pioneering initiatives in the fields of technology and innovation.
