The League of Arab States, represented by a delegation headed by Assistant Secretary-General for International Political Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Al-Manzalawi, and the membership of Director-General of Culture and Dialogue of Civilizations, Plenipotentiary Minister Mrs. Souad Al-Saihi, participates in the 9th UNAOC Global Forum, which will be held on November 22 and 23, 2022, in the city of Fez, Kingdom of Morocco, under the theme "Towards an alliance for peace: Living Together as One Humanity".
In his speech at the opening session of the Forum, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Al-Manzalawi highlighted the importance of working hard to spread a culture of peace to establish values of tolerance and cooperation and to renounce all forms of hatred and discrimination between peoples and cultures to face many challenges. These challenges are represented in the contradictions and conflicts between followers of different religions and the high rates of hostilities, hatred, terrorism and extremism.
He also stressed the need to intensify all regional and international efforts to approve, formulate and implement practical policies and positions to promote issues of integration and non-discrimination based on race, religion or gender to address their negative effects and repercussions.
In conclusion, he thanked the Kingdom of Morocco for hosting this forum, which confirms the role played by the Kingdom in spreading the values of tolerance and dialogue between cultures and civilisations.
