​Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, condemned the measures taken by the parliament of the occupying state (the Israeli Knesset) aimed at paving the way for the annexation of occupied Palestinian territories in the West Bank. He called on the international community and the signatory states to the New York Declaration on the Implementation of the Two-State Solution to take a firm stand against these extremist Israeli actions.

​The Arab Centre for Legal and Judicial Research, in cooperation with the EU-funded CT JUST project, is organising a regional conference on international judicial cooperation in combatting terrorism from 27 to 29 October in the Lebanese capital, Beirut. The conference will be held under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency General Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, and His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.
