His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Saleh Al-Ajeri, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector, met with Mr. Mohamed Ben Ayad, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, at the headquarters of the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 5 August in the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Saleh Ben Issa, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Tunis Centre. The discussions focused on ways to enhance joint Arab action, as well as several technical matters of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the Secretary of State affirmed the importance that the Republic of Tunisia attaches to following up on the activities of the League of Arab States Centre in Tunis, reflecting its constant commitment to providing optimal working conditions for the benefit of specialised Arab institutions based in Tunisia. He also stressed the importance of continuing coordination between the Republic of Tunisia and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States to strengthen the work of the League Centre in Tunis in a manner worthy of the League's long history, as it celebrates the eightieth anniversary of its founding this year.
For his part, the Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector of the League of Arab States expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Tunisia for its dedication to providing all available resources to facilitate the work of the League of Arab States Centre in Tunisia and the various specialised Arab organisations based there.
