Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, expressed his deep appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for providing a new aid package to Yemen amounting to 1.3 billion riyals, stressing that this assistance reflects the Kingdom's longstanding commitment to supporting the Yemeni people.
Gamal Roshdy, the Secretary-General's official spokesperson, noted that Yemen is facing one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises, with millions of Yemenis, including women and children, in urgent need of assistance. He affirmed that extending aid to the Yemeni people in such dire circumstances is an essential humanitarian duty.
