The 34th joint meeting between UNRWA education officials and the 92nd Session of the UNRWA Council for the Education of Palestinian Children opened on 23 November at the headquarters of the UNRWA General Secretariat. Participating in the meeting are delegations from the host Arab countries—the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Palestine, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Lebanese Republic—as well as representatives of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), the Association of Arab Universities, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and UNRWA education officials.
The meeting will review reports submitted by UNRWA’s Education Department and by the Directors of Education in the Agency’s five fields of operation, including the challenges they face. It will also discuss avenues for cooperation, coordination, and support for advancing UNRWA’s educational process.
