The Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, His Excellency Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha, received His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Faed Mustafa, Assistant Secretary-General and Director of the Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories Sector at the League of Arab States, and His Excellency Ambassador Ali Darwish, head of the Permanent Delegation of the African Union to the League of Arab States, on 16 December on the sidelines of their participation in the consultative meeting hosted by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation General Secretariat. The meeting was held within the framework of the joint coordination mechanism among the three organisations to support the Palestinian cause.
The meeting was meant to assess progress, coordinate efforts, and unify positions in support of the Palestinian cause during this critical phase, while mobilising international support at all levels to strengthen the resilience of the Palestinian people on their land and support their just struggle to reclaim their legitimate national rights:
