Assistant Secretary General Ambassador Hossam Zaki, Chief of Staff of the League of Arab States and and the UAE Ambassador and Permanent Delegate to the Arab League Mr. Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi opened today, 5th March 2019 a workshop on the Arab League's participation in "Expo 2020 Dubai" to be held from 20th October 2020 to 10th April 2021 in Emirate of Dubai.
In this regard, Ambassador Hossam Zaki stressed that the Arab League Secretariat General is working to achieve significant participation in the International Expo, being one of the most important events on the international arena to be held for the first time in an Arab State. Ambassador Zaki also said that the Arab League is participating in this important event under the slogan of " Stability and Development", in light of the strong interrelatedness with the theme " Future opportunities", under which the League of Arab States' Pavilion would be established.
The workshop discussed the ongoing preparations for the Arab League's participation in this important event, whether the induction materials or logistics related to the Secretary-General's Pavilion.
It should be noted that the "Expo 2020 Dubai" will be held under the theme " Connecting Minds, Creating the Future" with the participation of many bodies including, inter alia, countries, regional and multilateral organizations, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions and international corporations.
