The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, received in his office today (2nd of September) the members of the Egyptian handball team that won the World Cup for juniors.
An official source in the Arab League said that Aboul Gheit expressed his appreciation and pride to the youth who managed to win the championship, especially in light of their belonging to a successful Arab educational institution affiliated to the Arab League, which encourages its students to attain sports excellence.
Abul-Gheit expressed his hope that all Arab athletes, especially young people, will be able to inspire the spirit of victory and determination that enabled the Egyptian team to win the world title.
He said that the Secretary General praised the team's excellence and honor to the Arab nation and wished them continued success and to go on to win more tournaments at all levels.
