The Secretary General of the League of Arab States Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit took part in the first edition of the Schuman Security and Defence Forum, held on 20 and 21 March in Brussels, alongside a diverse group of international and regional organisations. The forum was convened with the aim of establishing and strengthening partnerships between the European Union and allied countries, as well as regional and global entities, to collaboratively address shared threats and challenges.
According to Gamal Roshdy, the official spokesman for the Secretary-General, the Schuman Security and Defence Forum was convened with the overarching objective of fostering and consolidating partnerships between the European Union, international and regional organisations, and allied countries. The forum sought to forge stronger alliances and collaborations to effectively address common threats, while also enhancing collective efforts towards building a more secure and stable world.
The spokesman further noted that Ahmed Aboul Gheit's attendance at the Forum aligns with the League's steadfast commitment to bolstering cooperation and coordination with the European Union across various domains.
